US Stock Market Holidays 2026: NYSE & NASDAQ Calendar

The NYSE and NASDAQ are closed on 10 full-day holidays in 2026. Use this as a quick calendar of the dates the US stock market is closed in 2026:

On a few days each year, the market closes early at 1:00 PM ET instead of the usual 4:00 PM. For 2026, the scheduled early closes are:

• November 27 (Friday) — Day after Thanksgiving
• December 24 (Thursday) — Christmas Eve

If a stock market holiday falls on a Saturday, the market is usually closed on the Friday before. If it falls on a Sunday, the market closes on the following Monday. That's why you'll sometimes see dates listed as "observed" — it means the actual holiday is on a weekend but the market closure moves to a weekday.

For example, Independence Day 2026 is on Saturday, July 4th, so the market closes on Friday, July 3rd instead.
